Traveluu Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Traveluu LLC ("Traveluu", "we", "us"), a New Jersey company, handles information in the Traveluu mobile app for iPhone and Android (the "app"), and when you email us.
The short version
- There is no account and no sign-in. Traveluu does not collect your name, email address or card details through the app.
- There are no ads and no advertising tracking.
- Your progress, settings and quiz scores are stored only on your phone.
- Apple or Google processes your payment. We never see your card details.
- We use RevenueCat, a service provider, to confirm and restore your purchase. RevenueCat receives your purchase record, an anonymous app user ID and basic device details (see section 4).
1. Information stored on your device
The app saves some information on your phone so it works the way you set it up. This includes:
- Your trip details and settings, such as your destination city, travel dates, whether you plan to drive, text size and reminder preferences.
- Your progress, such as chapters you have saved or read, quiz points and scores, badges and check-ins.
This information stays on your device. It is not sent to us, and we cannot see it.
2. Information we do not collect
Through the app, we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, payment card details, location, contacts, photos, browsing history or advertising identifiers. Apart from RevenueCat, which handles purchases (see section 4), the app has no analytics, crash-reporting or advertising tools. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
3. Reminders (optional)
Traveluu can send you reminders, for example a short tip before your trip. Reminders are off by default. If you turn them on, the app schedules them as local notifications on your phone and asks for your permission to show notifications first. Reminders are created on your device. We do not send them from a server, and we do not receive any information about them. You can turn reminders off at any time in the app's Settings, or block Traveluu notifications in your phone's settings.
4. Purchases and RevenueCat
Traveluu offers a one-time in-app purchase (US$9.99 in the United States, or the local price shown in your store) to unlock the full app. Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) processes the payment under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not receive your card or other payment details.
To confirm, unlock and restore your purchase, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc. (RevenueCat), a US company that provides in-app purchase services. When you use the app, and when you buy or restore the unlock, the RevenueCat software in the app sends RevenueCat:
- Purchase and transaction information: the purchase receipt from Apple or the purchase token from Google (which show what was bought and when), and when you last used the app.
- An anonymous app user ID: a random ID that RevenueCat creates for your copy of the app. It is not your name, your email or your Apple or Google account, and we do not link it to who you are.
- Basic device and app details, such as your device type and operating system, and your device's language or region setting and store currency.
Traveluu does not collect your name, email address or payment card details, and does not send them to RevenueCat. RevenueCat uses this information only to provide its service to us: checking that purchases are genuine to prevent fraud, unlocking and restoring the full app, and giving us purchase and sales reports. RevenueCat acts as our processor (under the GDPR and UK GDPR) and our service provider (under US state privacy laws). It processes this information for us, following our instructions and its Data Processing Addendum, and stores it on servers in the United States. RevenueCat's privacy policy is at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
Apple and Google may also give us limited transaction records, such as an order number, date, country and price, for accounting, tax and refund purposes.
5. When you email us
If you email us at info@traveluu.com, we receive your email address, the contents of your message and anything you choose to attach. We use this only to reply to you, help with your request and fix problems you report. We do not add you to a mailing list or sell or share your email address.
6. How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We use service providers that process information for us and follow our instructions: RevenueCat handles purchases (section 4), and our email provider handles the messages you send us. Apple and Google process payments under their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information we hold if the law requires it.
7. Data retention and deletion
Information stored by the app stays on your device until you remove it. Deleting the Traveluu app from your phone deletes the information the app stored there. If your phone's own backup (such as iCloud or your Google account backup) is turned on, a copy may be kept in that backup under your backup settings, which you control through Apple or Google.
RevenueCat keeps the purchase information described in section 4 for as long as we use its service, so that you can restore your unlock. The ID it uses is anonymous, so deleting the app does not delete this record. To ask us to delete it, email info@traveluu.com and include the order number from your Apple or Google receipt so we can find it. Deleting this record does not cancel or refund your purchase with Apple or Google.
We keep emails you send us only as long as we need them to help you and keep reasonable records. To ask us to delete your emails, write to info@traveluu.com.
8. Children
Traveluu is a travel guide for a general audience. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, contact us at info@traveluu.com and we will delete it.
9. Your rights in the EU, EEA and UK
If you are in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR. These include the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy of it. The app keeps most of your data on your device. We hold two kinds of personal data. The first is what you send us by email, which we use to answer you, based on our legitimate interest in responding to your request. The second is the purchase information that RevenueCat processes for us (section 4). We use it to provide and restore the unlock you bought (performance of a contract), and to prevent fraud and keep sales records (our legitimate interests). RevenueCat stores this information in the United States. These transfers are covered by RevenueCat's Data Processing Addendum, which includes the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. To use any of these rights, email info@traveluu.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Security
Information the app keeps on your phone is protected by your phone's own security, such as your passcode. Purchase information sent to RevenueCat is encrypted in transit. Please keep your device and its software up to date.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy, for example if the app changes. We will post the new version on this page and change the effective date above. If a change affects how we handle your information in a significant way, we will also tell you in the app or on this page before the change takes effect.
